I'm a single mom, odds-and-ender, thinker, tinker and constant reader. Best job I've ever had is motherhood, and while I suppose it never really ends, I'll get downsized one way or another. I guess that's a good thing, but what will I do with all the free time when it happens? Read more, I suppose.
I believe in God, and I also believe God created my life with a purpose. I'm still stumbling around trying to figure out what it is, and I'm coming to realize it's probably not be evident until it's all over, because it was all the small things over the course of whatever number of years I have. I'm not sure the final picture will be very impressive, but if it's not ugly art I will be satisfied.
I try to be kind.
Starting August 1st, 2009, MA sales tax is rising by 25%, from 5% to 6.25%. I will be buying almost all of my taxable items in NH from now on. To economize my shopping trips, I may also purchase items in NH that would not be taxable in MA. Below is the total from the first full year.
Taxes saved to date from shopping in NH:$3,543.26
Non-taxable total bought in NH during shopping trips:$10,831.58

I'm going to try burning parts of my lawn this year. I understand that it eliminates the thatch and re-juvenates the lawn.
